Bring Your Backyard Front and Center

Stack Your Deck

Backyard deck looking a little dreary? A fresh coat of stain can brighten things up. Cover it with the patented Sherwin-Williams SuperDeck® Deck Care System – which features everything from surface prep, to cleaner, to stain, to finish. It’s the perfect way to create a beautiful, long-lasting deck landscape.

Recommended product for deck: SuperDeck® Exterior Waterborne Solid Color Deck Stain.

Wait… What's the Difference?

What’s the difference between semi-transparent and solid color stain? With a semi-transparent stain applied to wood, you can expect to see the wood grain and with a solid color stain, the grain is hidden.

Pick Picket

Revitalize a classic by adding a fresh coat of paint to an old picket fence in your yard. If the end result seems a bit too bright, break up the whiteness by weaving flowers – rambling roses, perhaps – through the pickets for some broken up color.

Recommended product for fence: Emerald® Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint.

Lattice Help

If you want to add a little more privacy to a fence in your yard, try using spare standard lattice panels. You can add them to the tops of your fence sections and paint (or stain) them to match, while increasing the height of your fence, and adding some decorative flair.

Recommended product for a wood fence: Emerald® Exterior Acrylic Latex Paint.

Prefer stain?: WoodScapes® Exterior House Stains.
